Whom have I on Earth or in Heaven but Thee?

I love the words of the 4th verse of this hymn, "Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior":
      Thou the Spring of all my comfort,
      More than life to me,
      Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
      Whom in Heav’n but Thee?

      Savior, Savior,
      Hear my humble cry;
      While on others Thou art calling,
      Do not pass me by.

  1. I love the Cynthia Clausen version of this song, from the CD "Prayer and Plainsong", for its plaintive quality. I don't believe however, that Jesus ever passes us by or that we need to plead for Him to remember us. He is always there and knows our every need.

    You are in our prayers,
